Our Annual Smoked Salmon Night is coming up on November 28th, 7:30pm (come early to help set up if you like!). Members are encouraged to come out for this great event at the Mary Winspear Center in Sidney. Bring food, snacks or most importantly, smoked salmon! Get away from your TV and get together with club members! See you there!

The 2nd Annual Sidney Anglers Salmon Derby is well under way and tickets are now available at Island Outfitters, Trotac Marine, Home Hardware (Sidney) and SidneyDerby.com. Be sure to visit our derby site for all the details and updates.
We would like to thank our long list of sponsors, volunteers and contestants for coming out and supporting us last year. Salmon enhancement is extremely important and we hope you join us again. We learned a lot and are moving forward to make this the great derby it should be.

The Otto Wiggins Winter Derby was a great success! The weather started out rough, but calmed down quite a bit as the morning progressed. If you've been thinking about going fishing soon, now is the time to do it! Coal Island, Fairfax and Arbutus were the hot spots today.

The Sidney Anglers Coffee Meet is on every Wednesday at 10:00 am; at
Mary’s Bleue Moon café on Canora Road. Extra parking is available in the lot across the street. Stay in touch with other members and get to know them better.
The Sidney Anglers membership year runs from January until December. Monthly meetings are held at the Mary Winspear Centre (Sancha Hall) in Sidney at 7:30pm on the fourth Monday of every month from September - June (no meeting in December). Meetings usually feature a guest speaker speaking on such topics as fishing methods, equipment, boat safety, enhancement and other areas of interest, a door prize (for members only) and raffle prizes for everyone. We have six fishing derbies each year, an annual Barbecue and Picnic, and a Smoked Salmon Night. One of many advantages of being a Sidney Angler is that you are eligible to win prizes awarded through our ladder board system.

You can join the Sidney Anglers by coming to one of our meetings or by going to West Marine in Sidney.
