Welcome to the Sidney Anglers Association website. The Sidney Anglers club is based in Sidney BC, Canada. Learn about our club and salmon enhancement projects, view pictures, find out where to fish in Sidney and more!

If you were unable to attend our latest general meeting on February 22nd, here is a short recap on what happened. Joanne from Island Outfitters was our guest speaker and shared a lot of great tips for Halibut fishing, including the proper way to anchor, tackle to use, depths and locations. Much of the information was sworn to secrecy by everyone who attended, so unfortunately I can't share it with you.

Bruno Bauer gave a short presentation on the high quality prawn traps that he now builds and are available at Aqua Tackle in Sidney. These traps are designed to catch and built to survive!

The first phase of our new club website is up. Some links are inactive until we build them and additional resources will be available soon. If you're a member and would like to contribute fishing reports, please contact us.

The Sidney Anglers membership year runs from January until December. Monthly meetings are held at the Mary Winspear Centre (Sancha Hall) in Sidney at 7:30pm on the fourth Monday of every month from September - June (no meeting in December). Meetings usually feature a guest speaker speaking on such topics as fishing methods, equipment, boat safety, enhancement and other areas of interest, a door prize (for members only), and raffle prizes for everyone. We have four fishing derbies each year, an annual Barbecue and Picnic, and a Smoked Salmon Night. One of many advantages of being a Sidney Angler is that you are eligible to win prizes awarded through our ladder board system.

How to Join?
You can join the Sidney Anglers by coming to one of our meetings or by going to West Marine in Sidney.
